It’s time again for another great challenge to handwrite a portion of the Bible. We don’t write out the entire Bible all at once but we do take on the challenges of writing out whole books of the Bible prior to starting a new study. So, that means we preface our inductive Bible studies by writing out the same book. Will you join us in this exciting challenge?

As you read through this post, you will see that I use the terms Bible and Scripture interchangeably.

If you know me, then you know that I enjoy writing out whole books of the Bible by hand. Writing out the Bible goes hand-in-hand with reading and studying it. But did you know that Bible writing can lead to praise and worship? It is more than simply copying out words, much more! Let’s talk about that today, how you can enjoy the presence of God as you write out the Bible by hand.

One of my favourite things to do is to write out the Bible, book by book. I started with writing out themed Scripture challenges and then one day, I sensed the Lord whispering to me to write out whole books of the Bible. Wow! So, now, I am writing out whole books of the Bible and I invite others to join me as we accept the challenge to write them out together.

The scribes have been handwriting the Word of God for thousands of years. I can just imagine what it must have been like to carefully write out the words as they were inspired by the Holy Spirit. So, with all the hard copies and digital versions of the Bible available today, why should we handwrite the Bible ourselves?
